Scott's supports his nonprofit and private philanthropist clients with giving and fundraising counsel grounded in the network of community organizations, foundations and donors. Focused primarily in Vermont, Scott specializes in finding the common ground where organizations and donors come together to create maximum impact. Prior to starting his own firm, Scott served the Vermont Community Foundation (VCF) in Middlebury for 13 years, as Vice President for Donor Relations and Senior Philanthropic Advisor. His work at VCF included providing charitable counsel and fund management for dozens of individuals and families and serving as lead staff and trustee for seven charitable foundations. Scott has also served as Director of Development and Marketing and Program Director for the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps (VYCC) and in program management and development roles with nonprofit and municipal entities in the San Francisco and Seattle areas, focused on youth development and environmental conservation. Scott currently serves on the board of VPR (Vermont Public Radio).
