Tere has been providing philanthropic services to Vermont and Northern New England nonprofits for over 23 years in support of education, health care, public broadcasting and youth and family services. Tere thrives with clients when their vision and our campaign expertise transform their organization to realize its truest potential.
Tere has been consulting for most of her fundraising career and supervising campaigns, leading teams, and organizing departments for the rest. Her deepest expertise is in campaign strategy, planning, and execution. Inherent in that work are her skills in understanding donor motivations, transformative campaigns, major gifts training, volunteer management, program development, assessments, and executive coaching.
Tere served in senior leadership positions locally at Champlain College and VPR and has partnered as lead development consultant for dozens of clients throughout Vermont and New England. After graduate school, Tere spent 7 years in higher education as an adjunct professor teaching writing and various literature classes. Tere currently serves on the board of the Piney Woods School in Mississippi and has served as Board chair and in various board, conference, and speaking roles for AFP-NNE.
While not technically a Vermonter, Tere grew up in the hills of Vermont hiking, skiing, winter backpacking, and fishing with her dad and has called Vermont home since 1984. In every season, Tere can be found with her daughter Skyler and dog Cooper still roaming the woods in boots, skis, or snowshoes. Former hobbies include skydiving, flying, and running half-marathons.
