GADE | McARDLE
We help mission-focused organizations strategically grow relationships and exponentially increase philanthropic revenue.
Robin Turnau, Chief Advancement Oficer, Shelburne Farms; Former CEO, Vermont Public Radio (VPR)

VPR has engaged Tere Gade to ensure the success of two $10M campaigns: one to build an endowment and the other to expand and renovate VPR's headquarters.

In both cases, it was Tere's leadership, strategy setting, and understanding of philanthropy in our region that helped define the path for VPR to complete both campaigns successfully. Without a doubt, I believe that Tere is the best fundraiser in all of Vermont.

It was her coaching and guidance that helped me and every member of the VPR fundraising team be our best and tell the story of what our campaigns will make possible.
Lisa Ventriss, Executive Director, VT Business Roundtable
Scott and Tere brought honesty and candor, deep experience, humor, and excellent coaching skills to the tasks at hand. If I had to do any major strategic fundraising project, I'd want them on my team every time.

I've worked with Tere and Scott in a number of instances and have always richly benefitted from the experiences, both as a volunteer and organizationally.

As co-chair of a capital campaign that had just about everything going wrong that could possibly go wrong, Tere and Scott's arrival was akin to Yoda showing up just as Luke Skywalker was on his last legs. Their support not only gave us skills and knowledge, but also the moral courage to act boldly when time was not our friend.

Scott and Tere are eyes wide-open Truth Sayers who turned our committee of well-intentioned but largely untested volunteers, into focused, effective, and hardworking fundraisers.

Our last meeting together brought tears to my eyes. That's how grateful I am to both Tere and Scott. I wouldn't do this again with anyone but them.
Kyle Dodson, CEO, Greater Burlington YMCA
Scott and Tere brought energy, chutzpah, realistic thinking, and the highest level of fundraising professionalism and competence at a time when we desperately needed it.

I don't know if Scott McArdle and Tere Gade are certified in CPR, but I do know that they resuscitated the Capital Campaign of the Greater Burlington YMCA just at the point when it was in danger of red-lining. In the best of situations, consultants bring to the table something that is not currently available within the organization being served. They act as "catalysts". This is exactly what Tere and Scott did for us. They were an indispensable factor in our achieving outsized results in the year 2016. Do yourself a favor. Hire them!
Charlie Tipper, co-founder, New Moran Inc.
Scott and Tere bring professional rigor coupled with zest and keen perspective. Plus, they wield a killer Rolodex. They are great, friendly co-conspirators who I would recommend to any fundraising team for their knowledge of the local terrain and cast of characters.

Martha Maksym, CEO, Wake Robin; Former Deputy Secretary at Vermont Agency of Human Services; Former Executive Director, United Way of Northwest Vermont
Working with Scott was a real pleasure. He brought a wealth of experience and strategy to our meetings, and in the end we succeeded in our goal.

He helped us get focused around a particular ask we wanted to make to a select group of potential donors. He kept our feet to the fire to make sure we were completing our assigned tasks and he wasn't shy about asking for specific commitments to follow through from our committee members, something I especially appreciated.

Alec Webb, President, Shelburne Farms
Tere and Scott have been a huge help to Shelburne Farms in assessing and strengthening our development office and systems and in planning for future advancement efforts. They make a great team and we are grateful to be working with them! Alec Webb, President, Shelburne Farms.

Phelan Fretz Executive Director, ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain

In part due to Scott and Tere's extraordinary guidance, we were able to set a strategic path to address issues of brand and positioning, institutional capacity, relationship management and Board development. In preparation for what we at ECHO call the "Giant Leap" to better serve the science education needs of our community, we engaged Tere and Scott to conduct a planning study, interviewing over 40 of our donors and community leaders. That process has helped us better understand the community's leadership perceptions of our organization and positioned us for retooling our development efforts.
