ABOUT SCOTT
Scott has spent over 30 years in the nonprofit sector as a staff member, consultant, and board member. Scott specializes and delights in finding the common ground where organizations and donors come together to create maximum impact. His current consulting practice includes engagements with nonprofits (development, campaign planning, executive search, and coaching & training) as well as philanthropic advising for families, individuals and businesses.

For over a decade Scott served on the senior leadership team at the Vermont Community Foundation as Vice President for Donor Relations and Senior Philanthropic Advisor focused on new business development and providing charitable counsel for dozens of individual and family clients, and serving as lead staff and trustee for seven charitable foundations. Scott has also served as Director of Development and Marketing and Program Director for the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps and in several program management and development roles with several environmental and youth development organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle.

Scott currently serves as Co-chair of the Chill Foundation (of Burton Snowboards) and as a board member for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Vergennes. He is is a recent long-time past board member and officer of of VPR (Vermont Public Radio), Vermont Public, and has served as staff and board member for the High Meadows Fund, Bryan Family Foundation, Pomerleau Family Foundation, Wisdom Connection Foundation, The Permanent Fund for the Well-being of Vermont Children (Let’s Grow Kids), and founding board member for the Vermont State Parks Foundation (Vermont Parks Forever), Starksboro Mentoring Program, and Duxbury Land Trust. These roles have given him a unique and deep skill set in nonprofit board governance and organizational strategy.

Scott currently lives by Lake Champlain in Ferrisburgh, Vermont with his wife Kelli and too many horses. For fun he enjoys snowboarding, disc golf, guitar, boating, fixing broken things on the farm, and still trying to be the greatest dad ever to his two adult daughters Caroline and Jenna.
