ABOUT SCOTT
Scott has spent over 30 years in the nonprofit sector in various development and program positions, including over a decade with the Vermont Community Foundation (VCF). Scott specializes and delights in finding the common ground where organizations and donors come together to create maximum impact.

At VCF Scott served on the senior leadership team as Vice President for Donor Relations and previously as Senior Philanthropic Advisor, providing charitable counsel and fund management for dozens of individuals and families and serving as lead staff and trustee for seven foundations. Scott has also served as Director of Development and Marketing and Program Director for the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps and in program management and development roles with several nonprofit and municipal entities in the San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle, focused on youth development and environmental conservation. Scott now advises clients in major gifts, planning studies, capital campaign management, and development executive search, training and coaching, and still maintains a philanthropic advising practice serving family and foundation clients.

Scott is a past board member and staff director of the High Meadows Fund, Bryan Family Foundation, Pomerleau Family Foundation, Wisdom Connection Foundation, The Permanent Fund for the Well-being of Vermont Children (Let’s Grow Kids), and board member of the Vermont State Parks Foundation (Vermont Parks Forever), Starksboro Mentoring Program, and Duxbury Land Trust. He currently serves as an  officer of the board of VPR (Vermont Public Radio), Vermont Public Co. (VPR-Vermont PBS), the Chill Foundation of Burton Snowboards, and the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Vergennes.

Scott currently lives in Ferrisburgh, Vermont with his wife Kelli and too many horses. For fun he enjoys snowboarding, disc golf, guitar, boating on Lake Champlain, fixing broken things on the farm, and still trying to be the greatest dad ever to his two adult daughters Caroline and Jenna.
